Best Lip Care Tips To Get Softer and Healthier Lips

As a girl, I understand the frustration of dried, chapped, and black lips. But what if I say you can get rid of this? Yes, you heard it right. It just requires a good lip care routine to fix the flaws. Many girls out there face dried lips in summer. The reasons behind such conditions are dehydration, sun exposure, lip licking, allergies, etc.

Years ago, I went through the same thing, but today, my lips are full of life. This happened only because of consistency related to proper lip care. I followed a proper routine of using the best products suitable for my lips. I am sharing my routine and products with you.

Best Lip Care Routine

Lips are among the most sensitive parts of the body. They have the thinnest layer compared to other parts. If you ever faced dried lips in summer, it is because of the absence of melanin. It protects the lips from UV rays. Let’s see my routine:

1. Scrubing

The first step in keeping your lips smooth is scrubbing. Use a scrubber to remove the exploited skin (dead skin). You can buy a scrub from the market or make your own at home, including natural ingredients. The dead skin can make your lips look bad. Use a clean toothbrush and rub the applied scrub.

However, it is not important to scrub your lips every day. Do it once a week, or if your lips are dried and painful, try exploiting them slowly. If possible, make your own scrub, as it is beneficial.

2. Moisturising

Lip balm hydrates the lips and opens the pores. You can also use honey, grapeseed oil, and vitamin E. Moisturising reduces skin dryness, cracking, and bleeding. If you have chapped lips, it helps repair the cells. It also helps in reducing the redness of the lips.

Furthermore, one should always cover their lips with lip balm, especially while going out. Pollution and sun rays are the real enemies of the lips and harm them throughout the season.

3. Lip mask

You apply a face mask to keep your skin hydrated. Similarly, you should apply a lip mask overnight; it helps to hydrate the lips. Lips are sensitive and require extra care for healing. The lip mask contains collagen and peptides, which help heal broken tissues.

4. Sunscreen

Sunscreen is important not only for the face but also for the lips. Choose your suitable SPF lip balm and apply it on the lips. Girls always forget to apply sunscreen on their lips. It helps reduce sunburn and lip cancer. While purchasing an SPF sunscreen, choose which can protect the lips from UVA and UVB rays. The sunscreen should be water resistant, SPF 30 or above and more.
